Everything Coming This Fall in OKC, Edmond, Tulsa, Nichols Hills, and Beyond

Fall is easily the best season in Oklahoma, and 2026 is stacked. Between the state fairs, football, Broadway, pumpkin patches, and Halloween season, there's something happening almost every weekend from September through the holidays. Here's the full rundown across the metro and beyond.

Concerts & Live Music

Oklahoma City's Paycom Center and Zoo Amphitheatre have a full fall concert calendar with acts like Jason Aldean, Chase Matthew, and Mackenzie Carpenter on the books, with new shows still being added weekly.

Tulsa's BOK Center is packed too. Highlights include country and rock shows on September 19 and 22, a run of shows October 2, 8, 9, 10, and 16 spanning country, rock, and religious acts, and I Prevail with The Funeral Portrait on November 6. Carin Leon, Forrest Frank, and Benson Boone are also on the 2026-2027 lineup.

Theater and Broadway

OKC Broadway's 2026-2027 season kicks off in August and runs into fall with seven mainstage shows, including the Oklahoma City premiere of The Outsiders, plus The Notebook, The Great Gatsby, Death Becomes Her, Buena Vista Social Club, and a revival of The Sound of Music, all at the Civic Center Music Hall.

Lyric Theatre's 2026 season carries into fall as well, with Come From Away and Lyric's A Christmas Carol closing out the year, alongside their signature Broadway Bash event.

State Fairs

The Oklahoma State Fair runs September 17-27 at OKC Fair Park, an 11-day run expected to draw close to a million visitors with rides, concerts, and all the fair food you can handle.

The Tulsa State Fair follows right behind it, running October 1-11 at Expo Square, with its own concert lineup, rides, and agricultural exhibits.

Pumpkin Patches, Corn Mazes, and Fall Festivals

Orr Family Farm in south OKC is the go-to for train rides, a corn maze, petting zoos, and a full pumpkin patch. Parkhurst Pumpkin Patch out in Arcadia has a giant hay fort, train rides, and interactive playgrounds for younger kids. TG Farms in Newcastle offers hayrides, a giant slide, and a petting zoo, and The Patch Family Farm on West Britton Road in OKC lets kids try pony rides and cow milking. Downtown, Pumpkinville brings thousands of pumpkins and themed photo displays into the city center.

In Edmond, the Wings Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch runs weekends only, October 2-18, with inflatables, food trucks, live music, and a huge pumpkin selection. Nichols Hills United Methodist Church also hosts a free community fall festival, a nice low-key option close to home for Nichols Hills families.

Orr Family Farm's broader Fall Festival runs September 20 through November 8, with cannon blasters, giant jumping pillows, tube rollers, and gemstone mining for the kids.

Halloween Season

Frontier City's Fright Fest runs September 20 through November 1, with family-friendly daytime programming that turns into haunted houses and thrill rides after dark. Haunt the Zoo at the OKC Zoo runs October 5-31 for a more toddler-friendly Halloween experience. Brick-or-Treat takes over the Bricktown District on Sunday, October 26, from 1-4 p.m., with trick-or-treating at local businesses, roaming characters, and photo ops.

Cultural Festivals

The Oklahoma City Turkish Food and Art Festival lands on October 31. In Tulsa, Festival Americas takes over downtown Guthrie Green as Oklahoma's premier Hispanic and Latino cultural festival, and the Tulsa Arts District hosts its annual Día de Los Muertos celebration honoring Tulsa's Hispanic and Latino communities.

Zeeco Oktoberfest Tulsa, voted the #1 Oktoberfest in the USA, transforms the Arkansas riverfront into a Bavarian village October 22-25, complete with over 200 taps of German beer and skyline views.

Football Season

OU hosts six home games at Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium this fall: UTEP on September 5, New Mexico on September 19, Kentucky on October 17, South Carolina on October 31, Ole Miss on November 14, and Texas A&M on November 21. The Red River Rivalry against Texas is October 10 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

Oklahoma State's home slate at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater includes Oregon on September 12, Murray State on September 19, UCF on October 10, Colorado on October 24 for America's Greatest Homecoming, Texas Tech on November 14, and Kansas on November 28.

The Thunder's 2026-27 regular season schedule wasn't released as of this writing, but expect tip-off in late October, right around the time the NBA typically opens its season.

Heading Into the Holidays

As fall winds down, Downtown in December and the Devon Ice Rink at Myriad Botanical Gardens typically open in mid-to-late November, bringing real ice skating and holiday lights to downtown OKC through the start of the new year, a good marker that the season is officially shifting from pumpkins to holiday lights.

A Note on Nichols Hills

Nichols Hills doesn't run its own big public festival calendar, and that's part of its charm. It's a quiet, established neighborhood minutes from everything on this list, close enough to Bricktown, the OKC Zoo, and Edmond's pumpkin patches for an easy weekend outing, while still being home to Nichols Hills Plaza's shops and restaurants for anyone who wants their fall season a little quieter and closer to home.
