Discover Grand Lake’s Best-Kept Secret: Rose Rock Lakeside on Monkey Island
If you’ve ever spent a summer weekend at Grand Lake o' the Cherokees, you know there’s magic in the air. Boats gliding across sparkling water, golf carts buzzing through the trees, sunsets you swear were painted by hand — it’s a place where time slows down just enough for you to actually enjoy life.
Now imagine taking all of that — and adding a modern, walkable, luxury lake community right in the heart of it.
Welcome to Rose Rock Lakeside — the newest, most exciting addition to Grand Lake living on the legendary Monkey Island.
Life Around Grand Lake: Adventure at Every Turn
Grand Lake is not just a place — it’s a lifestyle.
Here, the day’s biggest decisions are whether to launch the boat early for some sunrise fishing, hit the links for a round of golf at Shangri-La Resort, or rent a paddleboard and explore hidden coves. For thrill-seekers, there’s jet-skiing, wakeboarding, and cliff-jumping. For those who prefer a slower pace, there’s boutique shopping, wineries, scenic hikes, and live music floating across waterfront patios.

How Rose Rock Lakeside Came to Life
Behind every great community is a dreamer — and at Rose Rock Lakeside, that dreamer is Colby Fuser.
Raised with a love of Grand Lake from a young age, Colby spent childhood weekends boating, fishing, and water skiing with his grandparents. After a decade of living internationally, Colby and his wife Brooke brought their global perspective and deep-rooted passion for lakeside living back to Monkey Island — ready to create something truly special.
In 2016, they purchased a breathtaking 94-acre property, once used for cattle grazing and hay farming. Fast forward to late 2022: inspired by some of the most walkable, coastal-style communities around the world, Colby and Brooke began designing a new vision for Grand Lake living.
By 2024, a dream started taking real shape with help from partners like Archis Architects, Spyglass Outfitters Engineering, and Connect Advisors.
2025 will be a milestone year — with engineering complete, final plats signed, and lots officially opening for sale.
