What Real Estate Production Really Means — And Why It Matters

In the real estate world, you’ll often hear agents talk about their “production.” For those outside the industry, that term can sometimes be misunderstood. Many people assume it refers to how much money a Realtor personally makes. In reality, production simply refers to the total dollar volume of real estate an agent sells—not the commission they earn.

Production is the industry’s way of measuring sales activity. If a Realtor sells a $500,000 home, that adds $500,000 to their production. If they sell a $2,000,000 home, that adds $2,000,000 to their production. It’s a straightforward way to track how much real estate an agent has successfully represented in the market.

So when someone says a Realtor had a $1,000,000 production month, it doesn’t mean they made one million dollars. It means they closed one million dollars in real estate transactions.

What a Million-Dollar Production Month Looks Like

A million dollars in production can happen in many ways depending on the market and price points an agent works in.

For example:

One $1,000,000 home
Two $500,000 homes
Four $250,000 homes
Or a mix of multiple transactions

In the luxury market, a single transaction can represent several million dollars in production. But regardless of price range, reaching that level of monthly production requires consistent work, strong client relationships, and the ability to navigate the complexities of buying and selling real estate.

The Work Behind the Numbers

Production numbers can sometimes look impressive on paper, but they rarely tell the full story. Behind every transaction are months of preparation, marketing, negotiations, showings, inspections, financing coordination, and problem solving.

Real estate is not a straight line. Deals fall apart, inspections uncover surprises, financing changes, and timelines shift. Production ultimately reflects experience, persistence, and the trust clients place in their agent.

My Production Numbers

In 2025, my total real estate production was just over $59,000,000 in closed transactions. That represents many incredible clients across Oklahoma who trusted me to guide them through buying or selling real estate.

In February of 2026 alone, my production totaled just over $11,000,000 in closed sales.

Earlier in my career, my record year ever was just over $155,000,000 in production. That was an extraordinary year that required an enormous amount of work, momentum, and opportunity. Realistically, that type of volume is extremely difficult to replicate as a solo agent, but it remains a milestone I’m incredibly grateful for.

More importantly, it represents the relationships and trust built over many years in the Oklahoma real estate market.

The Agency Difference

Being part of The Agency has elevated how we represent properties in Oklahoma. The Agency is a globally recognized real estate brand known for its collaboration, marketing innovation, and international exposure.

Through The Agency’s platform, properties are marketed not only locally but across a global network of buyers and agents. The brand’s creative marketing, digital exposure, and collaborative culture allow us to position listings in a way that reaches far beyond the traditional local market.

For sellers, that means more visibility. For buyers, it means access to unique opportunities that might not be widely known.

What Production Really Represents

At the end of the day, production is simply a measurement. The real value behind those numbers is the trust clients place in an agent to help guide them through one of the most important financial decisions they will ever make.

Every closing represents a family starting a new chapter, a buyer finding the right property, or a seller successfully moving on to their next opportunity.

That’s what the business is really about.

If you’re considering buying or selling real estate in Oklahoma, I would be honored to help you navigate the process.
