Success is a word that gets thrown around a lot, especially in business, and even more so in real estate. It’s often measured by production numbers, sales volume, rankings, awards, and income. While those things can certainly be indicators of achievement, they don’t fully define what success truly means—at least not to me.
To me, success starts with who you are as a person.
Success is having integrity when no one is watching. It’s doing the right thing even when it costs you something. It’s being honest with clients, even if it means losing a deal. In a world where shortcuts can be tempting, true success is built on character—consistently showing up with values that don’t change based on circumstance.
Success is faith—and for me, that faith is rooted in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Real success is not found in what you achieve, but in who you walk with. Having a relationship with Christ brings clarity, peace, and purpose that nothing else can provide. It reminds me that my identity is not defined by production numbers, social media followers, or recognition, but by something far greater. It keeps me grounded when things are going well and gives me strength when they are not.
In a business like real estate, where emotions run high and uncertainty is common, that spiritual foundation matters. There are moments when deals fall apart, when expectations aren’t met, or when the pressure feels overwhelming. In those times, faith becomes more than just a belief—it becomes a source of peace, direction, and resilience.
Success is trusting God’s timing, even when it doesn’t match your own. It’s understanding that not every opportunity is meant for you, and that sometimes closed doors are part of a bigger plan. That perspective changes everything. It allows you to operate with confidence, patience, and gratitude, rather than stress and fear.
Success is loyalty. Loyalty to your family, your clients, your friends, and your business partners. In this industry, relationships are everything. People don’t just hire you for your knowledge—they trust you with one of the biggest decisions of their lives. That trust is earned through consistency, reliability, and genuine care.
Success is health. You can have all the money and accolades in the world, but if you don’t have your health, it’s hard to enjoy any of it. Taking care of yourself physically and mentally allows you to show up at your best—for your family, your clients, and your business.
Success is a strong marriage and meaningful relationships. At the end of the day, no award or transaction compares to having a solid foundation at home. A great marriage, supportive family, and deep friendships are what truly make life rich.
Now, don’t get me wrong—production and accomplishments do matter. They are a reflection of hard work, discipline, and consistency. I’m incredibly grateful for the success I’ve had in real estate, from high sales volume and recognition to building a strong personal brand across multiple platforms.
Over the years, I’ve become one of the most followed Realtors in Oklahoma across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. That didn’t happen overnight. It came from years of showing up, providing value, staying authentic, and consistently sharing my journey, listings, and insights.
Social media has become one of the most powerful tools in my business. It allows me to reach a broader audience, showcase luxury properties in a creative way, and connect with buyers and sellers not just locally, but from all over the country. More importantly, it helps people get to know who I am beyond just real estate—my values, my lifestyle, and how I treat people.
That visibility has translated into real business. More exposure means more opportunities, more connections, and ultimately more clients. But I’ve always believed that while social media can open the door, it’s character and service that keep it open.
In real estate, it’s easy to get caught up in numbers—how many homes you sold, your total volume, your ranking in the market. But I’ve learned that those numbers don’t define you. They’re simply a byproduct of doing the right things consistently.
True success is when your clients trust you, refer you, and come back to you. It’s when your reputation speaks for itself. It’s when people know that you’re not just in it for the deal—you’re in it for them.
It’s also about balance. Building a successful real estate career shouldn’t come at the expense of your personal life. You can be driven, ambitious, and successful while still prioritizing your health, your family, and your faith. In fact, I believe those things make you better in business.
At the end of the day, success is personal. It’s not a one-size-fits-all definition. For me, it’s about being a good person first, walking daily in faith, and staying grounded in what truly matters. Everything else—business growth, recognition, social media following, and financial success—comes after that.
If you focus on becoming the right person, building a relationship with Christ, doing the right things, and treating people the right way, success has a way of finding you.
